As part of my senior year, I've been developing my thesis project that will be done by the end of the Fall 2023 semester.
My thesis is focused on two-wheel walkers for the elderly. Walkers are considered to be necessary assistive devices for a lot of people, whether it's needed for medical causes, age, or prevention. However, they are often overlooked and are not being developed constantly. Current walkers are hard to maneuver and are not visually appealing. Most of them embody a medical approach, causing users to feel disabled and old when using them. This is why my goal is to design a walker that fulfills its mobility purpose, while also providing visual identity and comfortability to the user.
